On March 15, the kick-off meeting of the NATREC-RQ (Enhancing National Mechanisms of Recognition of Refugees’ Qualifications) grant project was held online.
ArmENIC is one of 5 ENIC centers that has won a grant from the Council of Europe for the second time. The purpose of the grants is to contribute to the implementation of the mission of ENIC centers by promoting cooperation and mobility in the field of education, as well as ensuring fair, transparent and non-discriminatory recognition of higher education qualifications.
In the framework of the grant, ArmENIC will implement a project to enhance the institutional capacities by developing a recognition manual for the Armenian higher education institutions (HEIs). The Manual will address the recognition issues in HEIs with the specific focus on the refugees’ qualifications.
During the kick-off meeting, the participants discussed the project timeline, tasks and expected deliverables․
Besides the experts of ArmENIC, one expert from the Italian CIMEA (Information Centre on Academic Mobility and Equivalence) is also involved in the project.
