History

Armenian National Information Center for Academic Recognition and Mobility (ARMENIC) was established in 2005 by the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia. The prerequisite for the establishment of ArmEnic was the ratification of the Lisbon Recognition Convention (LRC) in 2004 and joining of the Bologna Process in 2005 by Armenia. ArmEnic is a member of Enic-Naric  joint networks.

MISSION

ArmEnic ensures fair and transparent evaluation and recognition of the foreign qualifications based on the principles of the LRC and national legislation.
ArmEnic provides reliable  information and advice on various education systems and national qualifications to local and foreign institutions as well as individuals.

ACTIVITIES

ArmEnic fosters implementation of higher education reforms and common values of the  European Higher Education Area (EHEA) in Armenia, facilitates to visibility and internationalisation of the Armenian higher education and academic mobility, promotes academic and professional mobility, conducts research on topics concerning higher education.

STAKEHOLDERS

The stakeholders of ArmEnic are Education institutions, State and other type of public bodies, individuals, employers.

PARTNERS

The partners of ArmEnic are Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the RA, enic-naric networks, international organizations: UNESCO, Council of Europe, European Commission, UNHCR; quality Assurance agencies, foreign ministries of education and other institutions.

Bologna Secretariat

From 2012 to 2015 Armenia coordinated the Bologna Process, and ArmEnic took over the responsibility of the Bologna Secretariat.

From 2015 to 2018 the director of ArmEnic continued to participate in the works of the Bologna Secretariat coordinated by France for ensuring its continuity.
