On 6 October 2026, the public webinar “Preventing and Countering Education Fraud: Current Initiatives Starting from the Experience Gained within the European Higher Education Area” was organised within the framework of the Fraud-Act – Combatting Fraud through a Holistic Approach and Data Collection project, with ArmENIC as a project partner.
The webinar brought together about 400 participants and key stakeholders to discuss current initiatives and cooperation in preventing and countering education fraud, drawing on ongoing experiences within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). Discussions focused on cooperation in the field, data collection and monitoring practices related to education fraud, as well as perspectives from Quality Assurance Agencies and members of the Bologna Follow-up Group.
Particular attention was given to the newly established Centre for Preventing and Countering Education Fraud (PCEF), including its mission, activities and current initiatives.
The Fraud-Act project aims to contribute to combating education fraud and promoting academic integrity across the EHEA. Its activities address four key areas — prevention, prosecution, international cooperation and monitoring — through a holistic approach based on cooperation and innovation.
Through its participation in the Fraud-Act project, ArmENIC contributes to European cooperation and knowledge exchange aimed at strengthening academic integrity and addressing education fraud in higher education.
