On January 17-18, 2024 in Tbilisi, Georgia a new Erasmus+ project MICRO-GEAR “Micro-qualifications in higher education systems of Armenia and Georgia” was launched The main overall objective is to promote structural reforms in the higher education systems of Armenia and Georgia with the main focus on development and implementation of micro-credentials on the national levels both for academic and employment purposes.
During the three years of the project the South-Caucasus partners together with the European partners will propose necessary requirements in the legal frameworks, will develop common guidelines for the development of micro-credentials, their delivery and award. Moreover, the project will provide guidelines and standards for quality assurance of such awards and their recognition.
During the Kick-off meeting in Tbilisi, all the partners presented their organisations and the importance of the project in relation to their main missions. On the second day of the meeting, all six work packages were presented, their duration and responsibilities of the partners in charge of the packages.
